Got a call from some Buddies of mine the other day Jake and Diane are a married couple with 3 children, Sarah 16 years old, Jordan 11 years old and Emily 7 years old. They invited me over to have a look at their newly remodeled house. They were working on this project for around 2 1/2 decades and finally finished the whole house. They are proud of the work they had accomplished and are currently inviting family and friends over to show off their finished product. So today was my turn to drop by and see what type of decorators they turned out to be and of course compliment them on a job well done came around 12 noon and rang the doorbell. Diane invited me and came to the door. Over to the left of the entry way is your living room. After walked in was awe struck by the far wall. They had hung a complete wall mural named Treasury of Splendor.
These wall murals are an artist rendition of a narrow river with a white wooden bridge crossing from one side to another. Meanwhile there is lush foliage on either side of the lake’s shore. The colors are that of early autumn with green, yellow, gold, orange and red leaves in a variety that only nature could produce. The fall wild flowers are in full blossom. There are tall trees in the background and in the foreground from the river are two white geese floating on the river water. Obviously they had decorated the room in a fashion equivalent to the attractiveness of that mural. From there we met up with Jake in the family room. This chamber is what they call their entertainment centre. On the far wall was a large flat panel TV and beneath the TV was an oak cupboard chock full of sound and video home theater electronic components.
A fiber that is large Sectional couch in a curved pattern was positioned far enough away from the TV about the center of the space, so that the surround sound speakers on all four corners of the room could be observed with peak precision. With oak bookshelves and 2 pine tables with matching chairs and drapes in multi-colored earth tones, the only thing left to say washes, this room too has a gorgeous wall mural. This mural is an artist’s rendition of metropolitan city with skyscrapers superimposed on each other. This time the colors are brilliant colors of browns, gelds, maroons, black, white, yellow, white and gray. This is contemporary urban art tastefully done. So now they ask me to follow them. Here the cabinets are oak in a honey finish. All of the counter tops are granite at a medium brown. The walls above the counters are mosaic mural tiles which envision fresh fruit platters and wine bottles.
